Scheduling of transportation fleet based on the customer’s priority in a hub location problem

چکیده
This study proposes six novel techniques on the customer’s priority while addressing conventional hub location issue. Each strategy assigns a value to every customer based distance and demand parameters, in which customers are prioritized this value. Then, vehicle fleet is scheduled according priority. A new mixed-integer linear programming model presented applied for each location-scheduling problem solved by three approaches. using CAB dataset, extensive experiments designed evaluate strategy. The strategies evaluated with statistical non-statistical analyses ranked accordingly. In case, comparison of non-priority best prioritization shows that has an adverse effect delivery time (i.e., 129.7%, 171.68%, 161.33% than case near, medium, far nodes, respectively). addition above tests, other tests conducted optimum number vehicles different conditions. results show as between hubs increases, reducing increasing their capacity preferable. Also, requires certain vehicles.

Designing Incomplete Hub Location-routing Network in Urban Transportation Problem
In this paper, a comprehensive model for hub location-routing problem is proposed which no network structure other than connectivity is imposed on backbone (i.e. network between hub nodes) and tributary networks (i.e. networks which connect non-hub nodes to hub nodes). This model is applied in public transportation, telecommunication and banking networks. In this model locating and routing is c...
متن کاملA Tabu Search Based Solution Approach to the Competitive Multiple Allocation Hub Location Problem
The hub location problems (HLP) constitute an important class of facility location problems that have been addressed by numerous operations researchers in recent years. HLP is a strategic problem frequently encountered in designing logistics and transportation networks. Here, we address the competitive multiple allocation HLP in a duopoly market. It is assumed that an incumbent firm (the leader...
متن کاملHub location problems in transportation networks
In this paper we propose a 4-index formulation for the uncapacitated multiple allocation hub location problem tailored for urban transport and liner shipping network design. This formulation is very tight and most of the tractable instances for MIP solvers are optimally solvable at the root node. While the existing state-of-the-art MIP solvers fail to solve even small size instances of problem,...
متن کاملMulti-period hub location problems in transportation
Many transport service providers operate on hub-and-spoke network structures. Major operators may have several dedicated hub facilities that are leased for a time horizon rather than being owned or constructed. For a given discrete planning horizon, service providers must decide on the location of the hub ports (i.e. terminals), the period when the lease contract starts, the period when the exi...
متن کاملMultimodal Transportation p-hub Location Routing Problem with Simultaneous Pick-ups and Deliveries
Centralizing and using proper transportation facilities cut down costs and traffic. Hub facilities concentrate on flows to cause economic advantage of scale and multimodal transportation helps use the advantage of another transporter. A distinctive feature of this paper is proposing a new mathematical formulation for a three-stage p-hub location routing problem with simultaneous pick-ups and de...
